POWER SKATING & PERFORMANCE:
Tailored for beginning/intermediate hockey players, this camp will concentrate on helping kids sharpen their skating skills. Players will be instructed on proper skating fundamentals & techniques, including balance, turning, stopping, transitions, crossovers and backwards skating. They will learn the proper form to pass, shoot and play defense while skating at full speed. Various games, exercises and drills will let players put their new skating skills to the test.SESSIONS:
PUCK CONTROL: $145
Designed to give players better control over the puck in all aspects of the game – shooting, passing, stickhandling, etc. Players will get instruction on how to make different types of passes, such as saucer passes, and how to receive a pass. They will work on offensive skills, such as dekes & toe drags, as well as how to protect the puck, and play defense. They will also develop their shooting - learning about different types of shots, and how to make them quickly & accurately.SESSIONS:
ADVANCED HOCKEY SKILLS:
For intermediate & advanced players who want to take their game to the next level. This camp will focus on positioning and game scenarios. Players will learn “hockey smarts” – where to put the puck in certain situations, where to be on offense and defense, and the principles of team play. Offensive strategies, such as breakouts and power plays will be taught as well. Intermediate & advanced goalies should sign up for this camp as well, as goalie play will be an integral part.SESSIONS:
GOALTENDING:
This is a 3 day camp designed to work on individual goalie skills. Players will learn about proper positioning and footwork in goal, how to play angles and what to do in game situations. Different goalie skills, such as butterfly techniques, controlling rebounds, and glove and stick play will be taught. We have limited space for goalies who do not have their own equipment.SESSIONS:
